Who do I talk to if I have more questions?

Upon registering for the conference, you will be sent an email with more information.

If you have more questions, please speak to Rohan Smith, our Springwood Conference Director. Rohan can be contacted by emailing or calling 0411 494 144.

If you have more questions, please speak to Dave Tankard, Scripture Union's North West Regional Coordinator. Dave can be contacted by emailing or calling 0401 571 978.

Do I have to be a leader/have a lunchtime group at my school to go on Leadership Conference?

No, Leadership Conference will give you the tools which will be helpful not only in your school but church and community.

How much and what’s included?

The cost is $265 up until 31 May 2019 and after that $295. The cost includes all food, accommodation, insurances and conference materials. There are no big activities involved and everything has been done to keep expenses to a minimum.

Please do not let cost be a barrier to attending the conference. We have supporters who are willing to contribute financially if delegates are unable to pay part or the entire conference fee. We can also arrange for smaller more manageable payments over time. Please call Rohan or Dave (details above) for more information on paying for the conference.

How will I get there?

Car or Train are the best options for getting to the conference. Start and finish times have been set so that delegates can catch Blue Mountains Line trains to and from Springwood Station. Leaders will be available to walk with delegates to the site and to transport luggage. The station is a 10min walk from the conference centre.

More information on transport options and where to meet to catch the train will be provided upon registration.

A bus will transport students from Tamworth station to Lake Keepit. Times will be sent to students so they can access the Countrylink train and bus services that run north from Tamworth to Armidale and along the New England Highway northwest from Inverell through Barraba/Manilla and west from Gunnedah to Moree.

Who should come? Can I bring a friend?

Any Christian school students in years 9-12 are welcome (which means bring your friends from school, youth or anywhere – if they want to be there!). Students should be in at least year 9 at high school (so about 15 years old).

If you’re in year 12 and concentrating on finishing school, don’t be deterred. We can schedule in study time just let your director know!
