Our Board


Andrew McLachlan – Board Co-Chair
B App Sc, MBA, GAICD, FAHRI
Andrew is currently the business manager and company secretary for a missionary organisation. He is married to Gillian, and with their two sons, are active at Dundas Anglican Church. The family are on the Lake Tabourie SUFM team and have been involved in SUFM's for many years. Andrew has previously served as an SUFM Team Director, Regional Advisor and Missions Committee Chair.


Mike Hastie – Board Co-Chair
BE(Aero) Hons (USyd), BDiv (Moore)
Mike is the youth and 7 pm congregation minister at St Andrew’s Roseville. He used to be an aeronautical engineer and still loves to make things work! Mike is married to Kel (who he met on an SU mission!) and has three boys, Callum, Lewis and Hayden. Mike has served on SUFM's as a team director, regional director and committee member.


Arnold Trewick – Deputy Chair, Chair of Fundraising Committee
Now retired, after 40 years with Qantas as part of the disruption management team, Arnold served with his family on mission teams for 30 years. He is also deputy chair of the board.


Graham Jones – Chair of Governance Committee
B.Comm, LLB
Graham has been a practising solicitor since 1983, establishing a firm in the city in 1998. Graham married Amanda in 1984 and they both play an active role at Northside Baptist Church, which has been Graham’s church family since 1975. Graham’s initial active involvement with Scripture Union NSW was through sports ministry and he has been on the Scripture Union NSW Board since 2002.


Elizabeth Moll – Chair of Bible & Prayer Committee
B.Accounting (University of Technology, Sydney), LLB (University of Technology, Sydney), B.Div (Moore Theological College)
Elizabeth worked as a management consultant with L.E.K. Consulting in their Sydney, Los Angeles and Boston offices. She completed her Ministry Training Strategy apprenticeship at the City Bible Forum in Sydney and her Bachelor of Divinity at Moore Theological College in 2013. She attended ISCF in school and has tutored on SU’s HSC study camps. Elizabeth volunteered on the Currarong SUFM team and served as Team Director for five years. She is married to Nick and they have two children.


Marnie Apieczonek – Treasurer
B. Business and LLB (University of Technology, Sydney)
Marnie started her working life as an external auditor during which she completed her chartered accountancy qualification. She now works at Fairfax Media in their corporate accounting team. Marnie loved being part of Currarong SUFM team for seven years, serving in the teens and minis section. She is married to Glen and they go to Hawkesbury Valley Baptist Church. Marnie joined the Board as Treasurer in 2014.


Tim Clipsham – Chair of Camps Committee
Tim Clipsham is busy working as a dentist in Sydney. Tim's involvement with SU Camps began in 1997 when he first attended as a camper. He loves the outdoors, camping, bush walking, woodworking, family, mountain biking and road cycling. He is married to Claire and they have a one-year-old son. They are both active members of their church in Southern Sydney. Tim is looking forward to serving the SU family. He is most passionate that all may come to know life through Christ.


Robyn Gillespie – Chair of Schools Committee
B.Nursing (Flinders), MPH (Adv) (UoW)
Robyn is a casual academic and PhD candidate in the School of Medicine at the University of Wollongong. She was a student leader for her high school ISCF group, volunteered on Shoalhaven Heads SUFM team for six years and ran a SUPA club for five years. Robyn calls the Illawarra home and attends St John's Anglican Church, Keiraville. Robyn is married to Ian and they have four children.


Peter Stone – Executive Team Leader
BA DipEd (UNSW), M Christian Studies (Regent College), M.Ed (UNSW), Grad Dip Bus Admin (Monash), MAICD
Peter became a Christian at an SU camp in 1968. He was ISCF group leader at his high school. He was a camp director, SUFM leader and a member of the Camps committee as a volunteer, then served for ten years as a staff member, leaving from the role of Associate Director. He was a note writer for Daily Bread. Life after SU included roles at the Australian Tax Office, Coopers & Lybrand and AMP. He also served on the advisory board of SU Australia for several years. For the last 15 years he has run his own consulting business, specialising in strategy formation and implementation. He currently coordinates the Executive Leaders programs for Arrow Leadership. He is married to Grace, has two adult children and a beagle named Bella. He is a long-term member of St Barnabas Anglican Church in Broadway.
