Frequently Asked Questions

Who is the camp for?

Cricket camp is for boys in years 5-9.

I have only ever played backyard cricket but still want to go, would I be out of place on camp?

No. There are different levels for cricketers of all stages of playing ability.

I am an experienced cricketer playing at representative levels in my town, will I be challenged by the cricket skills and activities?

Yes. We have had a variety of skill levels each year, and each and every camper has been challenged and improved their skills. In fact, many players comment on how the camp prepares them well for the beginning of the representative season.

Do I need to bring my own cricket gear?

No. The camp supplies all necessary equipment, however, we recommend that you bring your own Box (protector). You are welcomed to bring your own gear (i.e. bats, pads, gloves) if you prefer.

What other activities are included in the camp? Do these cost extra?

All camp activities are covered in the registration fee. As well as playing cricket, campers are involved in other activities such as a night at Dubbo Sports World, Indoor Sports, Round Robin Games, swimming (weather permitting) and Wide/Narrow Games.

Is there transport available to and from camp?

Yes. There is a bus which will travel to and from camp, departing from, and returning to Tamworth. Cost is an extra $30 per person. If you would like a seat on the bus, you can add this to your online registration, or mark it on your form.

Can I be in a room with my friends?

Yes! If you have a friend coming to camp with you, and you would like to be in the same room, let us know in the ‘Other Information’ section of your application form. Each room usually has 2 leaders and 3-5 campers.

Can the camp cater for my special dietary requirements?

Yes. Campers are provided with 3 excellent meals a day, plus morning and afternoon tea. Should you have any special dietary requirements, please let us know in the ‘Dietary Requirements’ section of you application form.
